THE COUNTERFEIT SIXTIES
Saturday 23rd November, 7.30pm
Deeside Community Centre Theatre, Aboyne.
The Counterfeit Sixties was formed by four experienced musicians with the purpose of performing some of the greatest songs from the most creative period in pop music. Each member of the group has a wealth of experience from playing in various combos, and working with some of the legends of the time.
As the band themselves grew up in the sixties, they are fully aware of the memories that can be evoked by a 60’s show. A full multimedia experience, utilising live action footage of many familiar sights and sounds from the period: from specially selected events, famous people, adverts, and – of course – the original artists themselves, the two-hour performance covers many aspects of the era.
With over thirty bands & singers covered, it is undoubtedly the most comprehensive 60’s show around today.
Keeping the 60’s 100% live!
All being well, this will be a licenced event.
ANNA WELLS - SNOWSTORMS & SUMMIT SELFIES
Thursday 19th December, 7.30pm
Deeside Community Centre Theatre, Aboyne.

She has summited 55 4000m Alpine peaks, represented Britain in numerous Ice Climbing World Cups, scaled El Capitain and set the female Cuillin Ridge Speed Record on Skye in summer and winter.
Last winter, Anna gained the attention of the national press by completing a winter round of the Munros, joining the small and elite group of Martin Moran, Steve Perry and Kevin Woods. The first woman to achieve that feat, she equalled Martin’s best time for the round of 83 days. Anna’s talk will concentrate on that round – and its highs and lows. It will be a great evening with tales of adrenaline fuelled endeavour set against the background of Scotland’s stunning mountain scenery in winter.
All profits from this evening will go towards the cost of the Aboyne Scouts trip to Kandersteg, Switzerland in Summer 2025. The scouts will be fundraising on the night, so bring some cash!
